Pauch Sr. and Pauch Jr. battle it out at New Egypt Speedway’s 358 Modified Feature for a wild bout of racing. The 30-lap feature kicked off with Sway-A-Way’s newest racer Billy Pauch Sr. in fourth place with Mike Butler starting lead. It only took six laps around for Pauch Sr. to make his way to 2nd place leaving DJ Ruppert, Tad Cox, and Ryan Godown who had made his way from fourteenth, next in line.
Meanwhile by lap nine, Billy Pauch Jr. had been making quick work of the backfield fighting his way from sixteenth all the way to fifth. It was lap 11 that Pauch Sr. used the inside groove to overtake Butler for the lead, leaving Butler and son Pauch Jr. now in third place.
Lap 21, Billy Pauch Jr. overtakes Butler with Billy Pauch Sr. still leading the pack. By the white flag, the father, and son duo were bumper to bumper with Pauch Sr. able to hold his lead and take home his 125th Modified win at New Egypt Speedway. Congratulations to Billy Pauch Sr. for his excellent 1st place finish and to Billy Pauch Jr. for his impressive dart from sixteenth to second.
